Tau-Nkwe Safaries are situated in the bushveld area of hte waterberge near modimolle in the limpopo province of the Republic of South-Africa.
Tau-Nkwe Safaries is also our introduccion to the true Africa bushveld, in all its harshness and beauty. Here you step into a world where the lifestyle is an pace with the rhythm of nature. Everything slows down and one becomees aware of ones own primitive needs. The hunting insticnt comes alive, and is able to follow its natural course, tracking, shooting and celebrating the hunt. Our hunting concessions is Modimolle total approximately 7 thousand hectares withim a radius of 30 km.
Your South Afica safari starts on arrival ot OR Tambo International Airport, where your Outfitter/Professional Hunter will meet you and transport you to the lodges. From the time you arrive until the end of the your safari, your trabel arrangements will be taken care of.
For the clien'ts convenience, air charter flights can be arranged for your own account.
Temperatures during the February to October hunting season are generally hot during the day and cold at night. A large variety of Flora and Fauna is found in the Africa bush, ranging form big Boabab trees to parches of thick thorny undergrown. Please pack safaris type clothes to blend in with your environment, as well as ankle high boots to gard your clothes. Greenish colors are well as high boots are important for the prevention of snakes bites and tich bites.
Fabric must be think enough to protect you against thorns and braches. Warm clothing for the colder mornings and evenings is essential. It is advisable that anti-malaria tablets be taken 14 days prior to your arrival and continued during and after you leave. Speak to yor doctor befere visiting South Africa. Insect repellent products anre essential for ticks. Don't forget the sunscreen for that harsh African sun.
FIREAMS and AMMUNITION
We recommend you bring your own rifle and ammunition. For plains game a.243-300 Magnum or similar calibers should be used it will depend on the area that the hunt will take place. The minimum caliber required for the Big Five is a .375 Magnum.
Tau-Nkwe Safaries caters for bow and handgun hunters. Handguns used in the African bush are the .44 Magnum and the .454 Casull revolvers or the single shot Contenders.

* While Lion Breeding Farm, Crocodile Farm. Golf, Entabeni Big 5 viewing, Bird viewing can all be arranged, but some would need prior notification to ensure booking are confirmed. Special request welcome.
